Dr. Rao Wins Provider of the Year from Locumpedia

On February 13th, Locumpedia announced the five recipients of their prestigious Provider of the Year awards. Dr. Rao, staffed through Health Carousel Locum Tenens, was selected for his work as a Hospitalist at a facility in Roswell. The hospital was severely underserved, and Dr. Rao made it his mission to stabilize it. “Dr. Rao is a prime example of facing challenging environments head-on rather than seeking a more comfortable medical setting. His relentless dedication to providing care to this community is admirable and a testament to the core values of being a physician.”2
Dr. Rao works with one of HCLT’s top recruiters, Chris Armey. When asked about Dr. Rao, Chris has this to say, “When I began working with Dr. Rao in January 2022, we were both new to the locum tenens business. I had been working with Health Carousel for only 4 months at the time we connected, and Dr. Rao had never worked a locum assignment at that time. While he wasn’t my first placed provider, he was my first provider that was to work at a major facility on an ongoing basis. Together we learned the ins-and-outs of big business locums, and were a team every step of the way. I am proud to have introduced Dr. Rao to his new home facility in Roswell, where he now works full-time to help better their underserved community. It has been a great pleasure and wonderful ride to hear him expand his role out there, and help the facility get back on it’s feet after facing the staffing challenges of a pandemic.”
