The COVID19 pandemic may be far from over, but many states are relaxing regulations around hospital practices and are allowing facilities to resume elective procedures. While the demand may not be there yet, soon the country will see a high demand for nurse anesthetists when patients can have elective procedures again. Travel CRNAs are going to play an integral role in helping facilities keep up with their needs, as well as help prevent permanent staff from becoming burnt out. After all, thousands of procedures were canceled as hospitals kept beds open for COVID-19 patients, and facilities are going to have a backlog of elective surgeries to perform. Besides helping facilities and staff with their needs and providing quality care to patients, there are other advantages to working as a traveling CRNA, such as earning a higher salary than permanent providers. As the country opens back up and there is an increase in demand for CRNAs, there will be even more opportunities to earn more money while on assignment.
