Health Carousel Locum Tenens Higher Standard Award Recipient - Dr. Woessner

Health Carousel Locum Tenens recently launched the Higher Standard Award to recognize one healthcare provider each quarter. This award is for a provider who goes above and beyond in their work and truly lives our mission of improving lives and making healthcare work better.

‍We are proud to present the Higher Standard Award to: Dr. James Woessner

‍How Dr. Woessner Improves Lives:

‍Dr. Woessner performs traumatic brain injury (TBI) exams for United States veterans. One of his patients worried about paying for treatment as well as maintaining financial stability without being able to work. Dr. Woessner evaluated this veteran and provided answers to Veterans Affairs in order to help his patient receive treatment and maintain income. After the VA reviewed Dr. Woessner's evaluation, they deemed the veteran fully disabled, meaning he will receive the maximum amount of disability compensation per month as well as free healthcare from the VA.

‍The following email was sent to Dr. Woessner by a staff member at the facility where he works:

‍"I just wanted to drop a quick update and let you know that the veteran below was awarded 100%, as well as aid and attendance.  He and his wife called this morning just simply in tears and so very grateful for the help. I wanted you to know, without question, just how much difference your evaluation and answers made for this man's life, as well as the lives of his family. Thank you again for your attention to this Veteran. I do indeed think it was your statements that pushed it up and over the wall to get them the help they so very desperately needed."
